Book Your Flight To Boston Hassle Free! Just Follow These Four Easy Steps.

The great thing about finding flights to Boston these days is the surplus of websites including travelocity.com, costlessflights.com, and expedia.com, that are devoted to comparing flight prices, stops, and length of layovers of each airline.

1. When searching for flights to Boston, the first thing to do is to browse the many discount airfare websites where you can choose the exact date, and sometimes even the time of day that you wish to take your flight. Usually the cheapest flights you will find are the early morning and red-eye flights, as they are the most unpopular among most travelers.

2. If you already belong to, or want to begin an airline mileage membership, search on that airline’s website for flight information so that you can gain points as you travel.

3. Remember, the only commercial airport in Massachusetts is Logan International Airport, so this is the destination you will choose when searching for flights to Boston. However, there are still a wealth of airlines to choose from as each major U.S. owned airline and a few major European airlines regularly fly through Logan.

4. After you have decided on which flight is most appropriate for your travel needs, the website that you will return to time and again is massport.com/LOGAN. This website is very user friendly and includes information about all Boston flights such as a list of arrivals, departures and flight tracking, security information, airport traffic (list of delays or major problems at the airport), and airport weather.

Art Tshirts

Dec 10

Posted: under Uncategorized.

If you’re looking for a really cool online store, check out ResistToday.com. They have Unique T-shirts made by independent artists. Their designs are influenced by street art.

Their newest series of screen printed art tshirts are inspired by nature. They use images and photos of branches, trees, leaves and vines and collage them into cool art. Then they screen print their art onto an American Apparel t-shirts (these shirts are soft, wear well and are made in the US).

Here’s a good quote from their web site. We’re interested in using products as a wearable and functional art medium. With so little public space available for art some of us turn to a street sign, abandon building or overpass; we think shirts and wallets are just as good of an art surface.

I love what they’re trying to do with their art. They don’t care about getting their art into big, fancy galleries; they just want real people to connect with their art and images. I like that attitude because a lot of artists only want to make art (with a capital A) and that’s limiting for a lot of regular people. Some of us don’t care for the atmosphere of art shows and museums or galleries. So, it’s cool that there are artists and stores like Resist Today that cater to a different audience.

Some of their images remind me of swindle magazine and some t-shirts I’ve seen on deviantart.

My favorite t-shirt design of theirs is called Circulate, but they have a lot of cool designs on unique wallets, art messenger bags and cool pillows! My sister’s boyfriend bought her this cute kitty tee shirt.

I love Resist Today!

Lung cancer warning signs

Dec 10

Posted: under Uncategorized.

Most lung cancers affect the cells that line the air passages of the lungs. This is a very aggressive type of cancer and has a higher mortality rate than many other kinds of cancers. The chances of recovery is poor for those whose cancers are detected at a late stage.

The specific in cases of lung cancer depend on the location of the cancer. For instance, when the lung tissues are affected, it can cause breathing difficulties including coughing, shortness of breath and wheezing. The patient may also complain of chest pain.

If the cancer has spread to the esophagus, the patient may report difficulties in swallowing food. If the cancer has affected the nerve tissues, the result may be hoarseness or even paralysis of the vocal cords. There may also be pain that travels down the arm along the outside.

Some symptoms are not linked to the cancer affecting a specific body part. These include fatigue, weakness, weight loss and loss of appetite.

Early detection of the tumor is critically important - late diagnosis can mean a significantly worse prognosis for the patient. Chances of survival drop dramatically when lung cancer progresses from an early stage to an intermediate or late stage disease. Given the low chances of survival characteristic of this disease, it is better to be vigilant.

Stage 4 disease, where the lung cancer has spread to distant body parts including vital organs like the liver, bones and brain, is an advanced malignancy that is very difficult to treat.

The presence of other health conditions like hypertension may introduce complications. In such cases, the doctor might prescribe drugs for treatment of this condition. The presence of any symptoms of elevated blood pressure in a lung cancer patient will cause the doctor to be extra vigilant.

If one of more of the symptoms of lung cancer are present, the doctor may order a CT scan or a chest x-ray. This can often reveal the presence of cancerous lesions in the lungs. The levels of calcium and cortisol in the blood may also give clues about the presence of cancer — many doctors use these tests as part of their diagnostic repertoire.

In the end, your instinct may be the best indicator of all. If something does not feel right, do not hesitate to contact a doctor for further investigation. It is always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to your health and well-being.
