pH testing is one of the critical climate controllers you need to control. Is the pH balance in your garden right for your plants? With the appropriate pH test meters, you will get correct measurements of the pH balance. This will be effective to make necessary modifications to ensure the growth of your hydroponics garden.
A pH meter is an electronic instrument used to measure the pH, the alkalinity or acidity. A regular pH meter has special measurement probe a glass electrode associated to an electronic meter that quantifies and shows the pH reading.
The pH probe measures pH as the activity of hydrogen ions surrounding a thin-walled glass bulb at its tip. The probe produces a small voltage (about 0.06 volt per pH unit) that is valued and exhibited as pH units by the meter.
When the pH is not at the appropriate point, the crop will suffer its ability to absorb many of the necessary elements necessary for healthy increase in yield during harvest time. For all crops there is a specific pH level that will produce optimum results. This pH level will vary from crop to crop, but most will favor a somewhat acid growing environment between the levels 6.0 - 6.5.

Now, this is for fun so don’t be surprised if it isn’t accurate. The app has an amazingly scientific explanation behind the technology which is supposed to generate the babyface… despite that mumbojumbo, it is a lot of fun.

NameShake is an app I really love. It has over 19,000 names and, the coolest part, you just set a few parameters, shake your iPhone and, voila, out pops a cool baby name you never would have thought of.
My husband loves it too. We bought a few baby name books but this app is really all we needed.
Obviously, there are gobs of iPhone apps. These are just the 3 I played with the most.
