The Panasonic DMP-BD60 Blu-ray player has support for the common digital video standards including MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, and AVCHD as well as audio standards MP3 and PCM. It also fully supports Profile 2.0 or BD-Live that permits playback of any Internet-enabled features located on the more recent Blu-ray discs. VieraCast is an online content portal that allows special access to well-known online services including YouTube and Picasa for video sharing and photo sharing. The intelligent Auto Standby feature combined with the Standby Power Save keeps the electricity consumption low and brings it even lower when it is not used and left on by accident.

The overall design of the Panasonic DMP-BD80 appears almost comparable to the other DMP-BD models by Panasonic. With the Blu-ray and BD-Live logos, the DMP-BD80 really explains that it is a product of present times. There is a small compartment on the right that reveals some basic playback buttons, a USB 2.0 port, and an SDHD card slot. This blu-ray player does extremely well in image quality. The images continue to be crisp and clean without any need of tweaking the options and the colors are bright and defining. It also controls standard DVDs nicely by upscaling the SD imagery and making them look their best.

The Panasonic DMP-BD70V is competent of playing regular VHS tapes for people to enjoy their old collection and one of the rather surprising features is that it actually upconverts the VHS playback output to full 1080p resolution. This unique Blu-ray player singlehandedly beats out all the other VHS players. This player can also play all the latest DVDs so that the user may have as well enjoy their newest and favorite Blu-ray titles. It has the BD-Live and BonusView compatibility, which translates to Profile 2.0 support making it likely to view all the latest Blu-ray titles and take advantage of any Internet content that is included if the user has an Internet connection via Ethernet.
