For Top Performance In 2009 Using Email Marketing

Posted: April 8th, 2009 under Uncategorized.

How are you building your MLM business in 2009?  If you are using MLM Email Leads for building your MLM business, you probably have found out that times have changed dramatically over the last few years.  It’s just as easy to pay $20 per month for an autoresponder subscription, import 5,000 leads over the course of a month, and get yourself 50 - 75 people opting in to your website.

It’s time to leave behind the old glory days.  In fact, in the early days, I could import about 500 leads a month and put about 10 new recruits a month into my business.  It was easy and systematic.

But this is 2009, you can import 25K records each day, and that sorry little autoresponder you’re using has such a poor delivery rate, emails are getting blocked, filtered and all you can show for it is a few tire kickers, if you’re lucky.  Times have changed.  Just like in the book “Who Moved My Cheese,” you can either go and find what is now working, sit and be frustrated while you keep doing the same thing, or completely quit.

If you want to keep reading, I want to talk about finding the solution.

This is what I believe.  If you are going to have any level of success when using email leads, you should seriously think about getting your own email server, learn to manage it (or find someone who will), send leads to a landing page (or squeeze page), and have them subscribe to your own list, where you can market.  Here are the basic components.

MLM Autoresponders - You need your own email server and AR software.  You are going to want to think about $50, $100, or even $200 for a system, but you are going to have to forget the days of a cheap autoresponder.  You are going to have to learn some “techy” stuff, so buck up and get it done.

The Leads - It’s time for Biz Opp Email Leads. You are going to have to think in terms of larger quantities of leads, and you will need to pay to have your records scrubbed.  Get yourself several thousand leads (depending on the capacity of your server), and pay to get them scrubbed.  You will pay about $225 to get them scrubbed.  Why get them scrubbed? Because, you will get some nasty complaints, occasionally some abusive emails, spam bait, etc.  Be responsible with your leads.

The Landing Page - You really should create your own landing page (or squeeze page), or have a college student create one for you.  The overall cost should be a hundred dollars or less, since it is just one page, and it’s a one-time expense.  Just a word of advice - don’t use your company’s self-replicated web page because you won’t have control over the list, and it helps protect you from being accused of spam.

Build Your Own List - This is the second step in the process - using a high quality lead capture autoresponder, called a closed loop AR.  The one I highly recommend is %LINK2%.  This is a monthly subscription of about $19.  You will build your own list.  Why?  It gives you more control with your marketing, and, consider this if something should ever happen to the company you are working with, and they change things somehow, you don’t lose everything because you own the list.

The bottomline - you are building your own list, building a strong bond or relationship with that list, and presenting to them about your business.  Here’s the neat part, you are generating your own leads, that are not shared with anyone else - they are exclusive to you and you alone.
