Patio Heaters - Do You Need One?

Posted: January 31st, 2009 under Uncategorized.

Today is a pretty nice day outdoors, although my calendar says it is winter, so it would be very smart to spend some time in the open before the warm and hot summer days come to us. Alas, the evenings are pretty chilly and it would not be nice to suffer the cold air after the sun sets. The next logical step is to get an outdoor patio heater and provide some warmth.

Patio heaters and deck heaters can easily warm up a cool night. These devices can be bought in many different styles, sizes, prices and purposes. The prices vary greatly, from a small ceramic heater of $30 to a large garage heater of $700. Big number of these heaters have a single dome construction and they are very easily identified. It’s easy to find them at any home improvement store during the winter, but it’s hard to get one of these during the summer days. These products are seasonal merchandise.

More powerful heaters have aproximately 40k of BTUs, have high quality stainless steel construction and are assembled easily. To produce enough heating power for 12 people, these devices have powrful stainless steel burners. It’s best to pick a heater that has a 360 degree radius, so everyone gets the same amount of heat.

Do not allow children to touch or operate these devices in any way, at any time. While they are considered safe they are hot to the touch in some areas and you don’t want kids getting hurt.

In conclusion, there are many benefits when using these units. I know there are people who see them as a luxury, but if you could really use one, then you should buy one this winter.
