To get high rank on the major search engines is really easy depending on the competition of the keyword. There are many ways for you to optimize your site to make the search engines love it. Relationship building has replaced link building in the new Web 2.0. Don’t get me wrong, link building is great but it has to be done very carefully.
With Social Networking sites popping up everywhere you look relationship building is the key. Within those site you can post content like, blog post, articles, comments, videos, which grab people attention. They begin to follow what you are doing, talking to you more and more. That’s how simple relationship building is. There is no more need to go out and do link exchanges, contacting webmasters asking them to link to your site. Relationship building does the link building for you.
Before you had to research for relevant websites. Choose a prospect for being a link partner, to begin your link campaign. This method takes lots of time, which cost you money, short term. Not only that you must always check to see if your link is still there. There is software out there that can do all this for you, but the time & money factor is still there.
Relationship building lets your Brand your reputation. This is also the best way to build your list because they already know and trust you. When you do have that good reputation people will begin to recommend you.

1. Write and submit articles to articles sites. I only use these three. Ezinearticles, Article City, & Go Articles. When you submit your articles to these sites, then the search engines will see the links in the articles to your site and start to pay more attention to it. Publish newsletters, because they can also be further picked and published by other websites, blogs, other Social Networks, and this further increases links to your website.
2. Forums and online groups that relate to your niche are also a huge plus. Using your your website URL in your signature along with the keywords you are wanting to rank for, create links to your site. This will happen when you do participate by making posts in these forums. If a forum has high popularity rank then those links will also increase the popularity to your site.
3. Get one way links. This is the hard of all the link building strategies. You must be certain that the content on your site is good for this to work. Use professional bloggers to write about your website with your link in the article. Bookmarking, is where people can vote, tag, digg your site which create a buzz and attracts visitors to your site also providing one way links. Create videos and submit them to video sites.
4. Go around to other sites and write website reviews or products reviews and leave your URL in the review. You would usually do this with website that have high popularity ranks. This increases links value to your website. which cause higher ranks and increased traffic.
There are many ways to build relationships and link building. Basically you must try out different techniques, and what is successful for you then do it over and over again until you reach your goals.
