If you haven’t experienced it then how can you explain your feelings and concerns about child birth until it is all over. Today, preparation for the big event is much easier even though every woman experiences child birth differently.
What’s helpful nowadays is the amount of information there is to assist you and what options you have for the birth. Some women really cannot face the pain of childbirth and are quick to accept painkillers against the other option of a natural birth. This decision will be entirely up to you and your wishes. Just remember, despite a multitude of views on the subject, it is only yours that really means anything. Your doctor probably has a great deal of experience so should be able to answer any questions you may have.
The closer to full term you can get the better it is for your baby. It’s all to easy to miss the odd appointment with your doctor and sometimes not listen to what they are saying but this is not a good thing to do. Child birth is never easy, but it is going to be even worse if you are going into labor early, and the health of your child is in question. You and your baby should be fine if you take note of what your doctor says and stick to a healthy diet. If they tell you go get more rest, make sure you do so. There are always things you can do to learn more about child birth including going to local classes held at your hospital, where you will be taught more about the birth itself, how to reduce pain and make the birth less stressful for the baby. You will also find other mothers there, some with the same fears as you and others that have been through all this before and may be able to help with any concerns you may still have.
Never forget that the end result of all those fears about child birth is a tiny baby that is yours to love and keep safe. You won’t have any regrets once you hold your baby in your arms for the first time.
